Bill Omar Carrasquillo,34, was charged with conspiracy to commit copyright infringement, tax evasion, and fraud for providing illegal online streaming services on his website. Prior to his arrest, he is famously known for his youtube channel where he displays his luxury vehicle collection to his 800,000 subscribers.
The indictment documentation states Carrasquillo, his partners Jesse Gonzales,42, and Michael Barone,36, operated an illegal streaming service from 2016-2019 where it streamed content from Verizon FiOS, Direct TV, HBO, Comcast, and other providers for $15 a month. They made $30 million in subscription fees and split the money into different bank accounts and apps as reported by the New York Post.
Carrasquillo claimed he paid back all subscription fees two years after federal agents raided $35 million in assets and his 57 vehicles which included Rolls Royces and Lamborghinis. He believes he’s not completely innocent but found a loophole with streaming content.
“I found a loophole, I ran through it and I did great. There are other colleagues in the same business I was in and they never got in trouble with the FBI.“I didn’t know what was going on for two years. No answers, no nothing
“So finally, you know, I get to not be depressed, not be stressed out anymore. Now I’ll get my day in court.”
