Early Sunday (September 7), Young Thug took to his X account to apologize to Mariah The Scientist. He wrote:
“My baby I was wrong and I’m sorry for what l put u through. U deserved better from me. Thank you for everything and I will do anything to make this work. U showed me what love is and I hope I haven’t lost u forever… everybody leave her out of this please she’s an innocent girl and feels bad about all of this. Please give her peace.”
Mariah seemingly reacted by posting the lyrics to her song “Rainy Days.” Particularly, she shared the parts of her singing about “love and hatred” coexisting, “resentment,” being “naive, not ignorant,” and “praying for love instead of common sense” still. The full lyrics she let play read:

Young Thug’s apology arrives as two jail call leaks surfaced on the internet. The first revealed the rapper admitting to cheating on his singer girlfriend. In the leaked jail phone call, Young Thug is speaking with another man about Mariah seemingly busting him.
On the audio — that reportedly first leaked Saturday afternoon (September 6) — Thug addresses a tense exchange with Mariah. He said she confronted him on the phone about another woman allegedly posting photos from inside his Atlanta condo. On the leaked call, he admitted to another man, “One of my little h*es—one of my little girls—she posting stuff on the internet at my condo from a long time ago.”
He recalled Mariah confronting him directly, stating, “She like, ‘Man… Girls posting in your condo?” He admitted to downplaying the situation with her, claiming the incident happened “a minute ago.” However, it actually occurred just a day before his arrest in his 2018 YSL RICO case. He laughed and tried to shrink the timeline. He added, “Wasn’t a minute ago, it was the day before I got locked up, man… Whatever happened wasn’t even a month, like 18 days or something like that. Whatever, I ain’t doing it with her. So whoopty doo.”
In a second leaked jail call, Young Thug is talking to another woman, other than his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist. The call started off with Thug asking the woman what she’s doing. He then asked, “What’s up with you baby? I miss your [?].” She then admitted that her heart was fluttering from the call and that she was not expecting him to call. He then said he wondered what her heart would do once he saw her in person and they were together.
After some flirting and seemingly claiming it’s been two years since they talked, Thug then asked her at what age she wants to have children. She replied, “When you get out.” He replied, “I tell you. Bet.” She added, “When you come home I’ll have kids.” He replied, “Yeah.” He added, “I love you,” and she said, “I love you more.”
