YG Claims He Is Innocent In Deadly Compton Shooting Involving His SUV

YG is claiming his innocence after one of his SUV’s was involved in a deadly shoot out in Compton.

Authorities say that an SUV registered to rapper YG was involved in a deadly shoot out that ended in a high-speed chase.

YG has come forward to say that although the car is registered in his name, he has a lot of company cars and didn’t realize that one was gone.

Detectives assigned to the case say that they responded to a DUI suspect Wednesday night. When they arrived, a shoot out took place killing a man who was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire. That prompted the driver of YG’s black SUV to take off on a pursuit which resulted in shots being fired towards police.

There was one deputy who as hit but only sustained minor injuries. As for the person who was driving the SUV, there were no injuries as the car had “aftermarket bulletproof glass.”

One person was detained while authorities are looking for a second suspect. YG is making it known however that he was not involved in this situation.

“I was nowhere near the scene of this incident and had been in a recording studio all day in Hollywood. I was there until after midnight on the Fourth of July and didn’t learn of these events until after they happened,” he told TMZ.
