Yella Beezy Arrested And Charged With Capital Murder, Accused Of Hiring Hitman In Death Of Dallas Rapper Mo3

Dallas rapper Yella Beezy has been arrested and charged with capital murder as authorities accuse him of hiring a hitman in the shooting death of fellow Dallas rapper Mo3.

On Tuesday (March 18), Markies Deandre Conway, 33 and also known as Yella Beezy, was formally indicted by a Dallas County grand jury for the murder of 28-year-old Melvin A. Noble, known as Mo3, according to court documents obtained by FOX 4.

Investigators allege Beezy hired Kewon Dontrell White, 22,to murder Mo3 in November 2020. On Thursday (March 20), authorities arrested Yella Beezy on the charge of capital murder while remuneration in Mo3’s death. Remuneration refers to any form of payment someone receives for performing a service.

As we previously reported, Mo3 was killed on November 11, 2020. The ambush-style shooting took place in the middle of the day on Interstate 35E near Marsalis Avenue in Dallas. Authorities say Mo3 was in his car on the road when Kewon Dontrell White approached the car. 

White wore a ski mask and held a gun as he ran up. Police say Mo3 exited his car and began running away when White shot him in the back several times. The tragic shooting was captured on traffic cameras and widely circulated. Police arrested White a month later and charged him with murder. Upon arrest, police discovered a 9mm pistol on him as he fled from officers. White is currently serving a nine-year prison sentence for firearm charges connected to the shooting.

Three Men, Including Yella Beezy, Indicted In Shooting Death Of Dallas Rapper Mo3

At least three men have been indicted in the case. White was the first, indicted in February 2021. Devin Maurice Brown Jr., 27, was the second indicted, accused of helping coordinate the attack on Mo3. Police arrested him in Limestone County on federal drug and weapons charges after investigators found a stolen AK-47, drugs, and cash in his home.

Lastly, Yella Beezy is the third indicted. Following his Thursday arrest, he was taken to the Dallas County Jail. He currently remains there until his bond is set. Investigators say they linked the suspects through phone records and surveillance data. They say evidence placed them near Mo3’s location in the hours before his shooting.
