On Saturday (July 26), Beyoncé wrapped the last of 32 shows on her ‘Cowboy Carter‘ Tour. The finale notably included special performances by JAY-Z and Shaboozey, and a surprise heartwarming reunion by Destiny’s Child (Bey, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams).
According to Billboard Boxscore, Bey’s latest worldwide tour grossed $407.6 million and sold 1.6 million tickets. This means the tour has earned the feat of the highest-grossing Country tour in Boxscore history.
The data dates back almost 40 years and is based on figures reported from various industry sources. It’s noted that reporting is voluntary and that some artists, venues, and promoters even opt out of sharing data to be represented on the charts.
Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour Sets More Than 40 Billboard Boxscore Records
Per Billboard, Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter‘ Tour made history just as her ‘Renaissance’ World Tour. The latter broke the same record in the R&B genre after finishing with $579.8 million in 2023. Bey’s ‘Renaissance‘ run saw her performing in 56 shows across 39 cities. She blanketed North America and Europe.
Meanwhile, the ‘Cowboy Carter‘ tour shortened the list of shows to 32 and only hit up nine markets. Notably, eight of those cities had the highest grossing stops. On her latest world tour, Beyoncé shortened the list of cities, but extended her stays in those same cities. For instance, she ended up performing in Atlanta for four nights, five nights in Los Angeles and New York, and six nights in London.
We previously shared how Bey’s ‘Cowboy Carter‘ Tour grossed $55 million from her five nights at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. She broke the record for the biggest single-venue engagement ever. Overall, Bey’s tour set more than 40 Boxscore records.
Billboard also reports that Beyoncé is the first woman, and the first American artist (male, female, solo, or group) to have two tours end over the $400 million mark. She now joins The Rolling Stones, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran.
