Love Island USA star Hannah Smith has issued an apology regarding her recent behavior that led to her arrest.

Last week, reports surfaced indicating that Miss Hannah was taken into custody for allegedly making terroristic threats. However, as more details emerged, it became clear that she directed racially charged remarks toward a police officer during the incident. As news of her shocking behavior spread, social media users were quick to call her out.

Fans of the show had previously shown their support for the television star after she faced criticism for her heavy makeup. However, those loyal fans seemed to have turned against her after learning about her true character. In an effort to make things right, Hannah issued a lengthy apology. In an IG Story post on Tuesday, she stated, “Hi everyone, I want to just take a moment to address the recent events that took place at the concert I attended in Atlanta. I deeply regret the circumstances that led to my arrest on September 30th. I understand the impact and the severity of my actions and words, and I am deeply sorry.” The Season 6 Islander continued, “I take responsibility for my actions and I apologize to all of those that were affected by my behavior, especially to the officer and the black community, whom I insulted and disrespected.”

She concluded, “This experience has been incredibly humbling and challenging because I simply have no recollection of that night. This is out of my character and I would truly never say things of that nature to hurt anyone. All I can do is ask for forgiveness, in time, and to change my behavior and learn from this experience. Thank you for those who have shown support during this time.”

More On What Happened:

According to police records obtained by The Sun, “Love Island USA” star Smith was at a concert venue in Atlanta on September 30 when she was escorted out for disruptive behavior. The arresting officer detailed in a warrant that while Hannah was being escorted to her Uber, “she attempted to punch me, with a closed fist; however, she did not make contact with me.”

The officer further noted, “While in handcuffs, she also attempted to kick me multiple times. The accused did threaten to commit a crime of violence. While [Smith] was being transported to Cobb County Adult Detention Center, she stated she was going to kill me and my sister multiple times with the purpose of terrorizing said victim.”

Additionally, it was reported that Hannah not only threatened the female Cobb County officer but also made derogatory comments. She allegedly shouted, “B-tch. I can’t wait to kill you, you dumba–, ugly b-tch ’cause you’re f-cking fat, and they love us skinny bi-ches ’cause you’re f-cking Black, and I hate Black b-tches, so I can’t wait to kill you and your sister, you dumba– b-tch.”

As a result of her actions, Miss Hannah Smith has been charged with two felonies: terroristic threats and willful obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
