Furthermore, a Cloudflare spokesperson has claimed the company saw a “spike in unusual traffic” to one of its services around 6:20 a.m. EST. They believe the jump in traffic passed through its network, leaving thousands upon thousands of users to experience errors.

The spokesperson told Business Insider, “We do not yet know the cause of the spike in unusual traffic. We are all hands on deck to make sure all traffic is served without errors.” The company said it was “continuing to investigate” the issues plaguing its network. The spokesperson added, “After that, we will turn our attention to investigating the cause of the unusual spike in traffic.”
