Imagine you’re all snuggled up in your hotel room, relaxed with no worries in the world then you get this really strange slobbery sensation on your foot. Curious to see what is, you wake up to the shocking sight of a stranger sucking on your toes! As crazy as that sounds, that’s exactly what happened to a guest who stayed at a Tennessee hotel.

According to Nashville Metropolitan Police, David Neal, a 52-year-old manager at the 4th Avenue South Hilton Hotel in Nashville, allegedly got into a male guest’s room while he was sleeping on March 30. Police said Neal made a key card to get into the room and entered around 5 a.m.

The guest woke up to Neal sucking on his toes. Neal said he recognized him as the person who had come into his room the day before with another employee to address an issue the guest was having with his TV, according to investigators. When they arrived at the hotel, officers spoke with Neal who didn’t deny entering the guest’s room. However, he claimed he did so after he allegedly smelled smoke and wanted to check on the victim. But, police said Neal did not report the smell of smoke to security, nor were there any other reports about a strong smell of Marijuana in the hotel. To make matters worse, investigators said Neal claimed he threw the key away as they were unable to recover it.

On Friday, he was arrested at his home in Lebanon and charged with aggravated burglary and assault. Police shred that he is currently jailed on a $27,000 bond, according to WKRN.

Speaking to WTVF, the guest identified as Peter Brennan said he has been left “traumatized.”

“I was in Nashville for a work conference,” said Brennan. “I awoke to a gentleman, an employee of the Hilton, assaulting me.” He went on to say, “Instantly jumped up and was screaming. Went into sort of fact-finding mode. Who are you? Why are you in my room? What are you doing here?” explained Brennan. “I could see he was wearing a uniform, he had his name tag on. He was talking to me but not giving me any substantive answers.”

Metro Police reported on Friday confirmed that Neal was was taken into custody on an aggravated burglary warrant. “We found multiple crimes — felonies, prison time, court decisions,” said Michael Fisher, Brennan’s attorney with the Rocky McElhaney Law Firm.

Brennan is now suing David Neal as well as the Hilton Hotels in hopes they’ll change some company policies. “They have to be very careful with who you give access to that has the ability to create guest key cards for any room in the hotel,” said Fisher.
