The contestants, all AI-generated female images, will be assessed by a panel of judges, which includes two AI influencers, Atiana Lopez and Emily Pellegrini. According to the Daily Mail, the “Fanvue Miss AI” pageant will showcase a blend of traditional pageantry and technology. Contestants will be judged on their beauty, poise, and ability to engage audiences.
However, their creators will be judged based on their proficiency in utilizing AI technology to craft detailed images, mainly focusing on challenging areas like eyes and hands. Additionally, the AI models’ social media clout and effectiveness in monetizing their online presence will play a role in judging. This includes evaluating their interactions with followers and their impact on advertising revenue. The pageant is expected to happen in an online ceremony in May.
The winner will receive $5,000 in cash and an “imagine creator mentorship program” valued at $3,000, further bolstering their career in the AI creator economy. Social media users also reacted to the news of the pageant and expressed their thoughts about it.
Fanvue co-founder Will Montague says the pageant and platform will help creators make money off their creations while building fan bases:
‘The creator economy is an extremely exciting place to be in right now, and with the help of our platform, there’s been exponential growth in AI creators entering the space, growing their fanbases, and monetising content.’
