Women Are Warning Others About Creeps Removing The Red Filter On TikTok Silhouette Challenge Videos
By now, you’ve more than likely seen dozens of videos popping up showing fully clothed women, and men, going scantily-clad behind a red filter in the newest TikTok wave, the Silhouette Challenge. What you may not know is that creeps across the web have found a way to remove the filter to expose the bodies of those in the videos.
While some users sport underwear or lingerie in their sexy videos, some participants are going full-on nude, resulting in lurking larrys uploading YouTube, Twitter and Reddit tutorials, showing others how to reduce the silhouette effect. Since going up, posts, videos, comments and accounts have been taken down as women and others warn other users to be aware of what they’re wearing before editing and publishing the final product.
Despite the many people claiming there are apps and videos showing you how to remove the filter, one Twitter user, a self-title video editor, says the hack doesn’t necessarily work as being reported. They say, “No need to worry, they cannot actually remove the filter from your tiktok video. They can remove the red tint, but they would still be left with a silhouette and the video isn’t of a good enough quality on tiktok to lighten it and reveal your body..” #Socialites thoughts?
