A United Kingdom woman says her self-tanner has caused her skin to turn into a greenish color and was compared to Princess Fiona from ‘Shrek.’

Lilly Vigus said she and her roommates were bored when they decided to experiment with self-tanners. The 18-year-old went to a local shop where she bought a bottle of St. Moriz 1 Hour Fast Tan in the color “Darker Than Dark” as reported by the New York Post. However, the tan went wrong after Vigus put on multiple layers of the lotion and she noticed the green color while taking shower.

“People were calling me Fiona from ‘Shrek’ because my ginger hair and green skin all matched with her,”

She said the green color didn’t go away for days and Vigus decided to dye her hair green to ignore the consistent comments people made about her skin. One blogger said that the reason for the green tan is due to a customer using an expired self-tanner as reported by the New York Post.
