The 25-year-old woman who went viral after coining the term “Christian BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift)” now reveals that she has suffered an abdominal infection after the cosmetic surgery.
Sophia Idahosa, the religious influencer and YouTuber known as Sophiology, went viral last month while documenting her experience getting a self-proclaimed “Christian BBL.” Idahosa visited Houston cosmetic surgeon Dr. Jung Money for liposuction and a fat transfer, estimating a 6-month recovery.
Before getting her procedure, the Christian woman had previously shared her pro-surgery stance on her YouTube channel and even claimed to have been given spiritual permission from God to enhance her body. She’s said, “I have never presented myself to be [a] holy, perfect example. I’ve always vouched for the girls that love God and are not accepted by others.”
Since getting her viral BBL surgery, the influencer has now revealed in a recent vlog that she’s developed an abdominal infection. Taking to her notable YouTube channel, the young woman posted a video last week explaining her latest health issues.
Idahosa told her subscribers, which counts over half a million people, “Dermatologist discovered an infection on my abdomen. Basically, causing me to be very sick, weak, and not healing as I should. She prescribed antibiotics, and topical treatments for the scars & recommended I rest. I had to postpone my follow-up appt with Dr. Jung, and my post-op massage appts.”
Later in her video, Idahosa offered more details about her dermatology appointment. She said, “Full transparency, my dermatologist appointment this afternoon, it went well in the sense that I got the diagnosis and a prescription, but I should’ve went sooner.” She added that her appointment was booked at the last second because of how much pain she was feeling the night before, adding that it began affecting her sleep.
She added, “So as much pain as I’m in right now, and just disappointment that this is even happening, I’m happy that I have medicine now and things to help cure it.” Idahosa continued to promise her viewers with a future vlog with more information about her post-op recovery.
