The Iowa woman who targeted a teen for being “Mexican” also targeted a 12-year-old boy for being black an hour before the incident.

According to the New York Times, Nicole Marie Poole Franklin was charged with attempted murder after she struck the boy with her Jeep Cherokee while he walking on the sidewalk of an apartment complex in Des Moines. Police say witnesses saw Franklin accelerate her vehicle before the crash. During questioning, Franklin did not make a statement about what caused her to target the young victim. He survived the crash and only suffered from minor injuries.
