As we’ve shared, on February 14, the woman, filed as Jane Doe, and her attorney, Tony Buzbee, dropped their lawsuit. The move was done without explanation and with prejudice — meaning the claims can never be filed again. The case was initially filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs in October 2024. In December, Doe and Buzbee amended the suit to name JAY-Z as “Celebrity A.” Doe also listed a “Celebrity B,” a female who watched the alleged assault, but they still remain unnamed.

Within 48 hours, JAY-Z blasted the woman and her attorney and then formally filed a defamation lawsuit against Buzbee. On February 25, a judge motioned for the case to proceed. They found that alleged evidence shows Buzbee sharing and posting incriminating posts on social media.

JAY-Z Files Lawsuit Against Sexual Assault Accuser After Suing Her Lawyer Following Dropped Case

Earlier today, we learned JAY-Z formally filed a lawsuit against the woman who dropped the sexual assault lawsuit against him. In Hov’s March 3 lawsuit, he alleged that the woman admitted to fabricating her allegations against him.

According to Billboard, the lawsuit was filed in Alabama federal court. Hov’s legal team alleges that Doe and Buzbee orchestrated a “malicious” scheme to extort money from him by spreading lies. The documents also claim Doe has since “voluntarily admitted” that her claims were false. They also allege that Buzbee “pushed” his client to make the accusations in an attempt to secure a settlement.

Hov’s lawyers wrote, “Mr. Carter does not commence this action lightly. But the extortion and abuse of Mr. Carter by Doe and her lawyers must stop.”

The woman’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, denied the claims and told Billboard:

“This case is baloney and has no legal merit. Shawn Carter’s investigators have repeatedly harassed, threatened and harangued this poor woman for weeks trying to intimidate her and make her recant her story. She won’t. Instead she has stated repeatedly she stands by her claims. These same group of investigators have been caught on tape offering to pay people to sue me and my firm. This is just another attempt to intimidate and bully this poor woman that we will deal with in due course.”

JAY-Z Sexual Assault Accuser Defends Allegations Despite Dropping Lawsuit

Just hours after reports of JAY-Z filing a lawsuit against Jane Doe, the woman accusing him of sexual assault is now defending her allegations, further claiming she’s terrified of him and that he’s intimidating her. In new legal documents obtained by TMZ and legal journalist Meghann Cuniff, Doe says Hov is trying to bully her into saying that her allegations were fabricated.

The woman reveals she decided to drop her lawsuit because she feared JAY-Z and his supporters. She, especially, feared being publicly outed and subjected to public attacks. The woman claims she was recently approached outside her home and bum-rushed by two people claiming they were investigators working for one of JAY-Z’s lawyers.

Doe says the people tried to coerce her into signing an affidavit stating her rape claims against How are false. However, she refused. She also claims that the alleged investigators asked if her attorney, Tony Buzbee, sought her out as a client and offered her money to legally attack Hov. Doe denied both claims.

The woman further claims the alleged confrontation left her feeling intimidated and terrified by JAY-Z. She now wonders how the duo found out her identity which has remained anonymous in media reports and legal proceedings. She also alleges that her parents were approached by two alleged investigators asking similar questions about her attorney and her allegations.
