A video of a woman being hit by a police car after waving a gun in the middle of the street is currently going viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place on Tuesday when officers began to receive calls about a woman who fired her gun into the air at the intersection of Bellmore and Jerusalem avenues in North Bellmore around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.
In the viral footage you can see the woman walking in the middle of the street and pointing her firearm at cars. At one point the woman even pointed the gun to her head. Suddenly while walking across the street with her gun in the air you can hear tires screeching and then a police car hits the woman, knocking her down to the ground. “Drop the gun!” one officer screams as he runs toward the woman.

She then appears to reach for the gun that she dropped on the street after being hit. While struggling to get up another officer runs up and tackles her. A third officer moves in, and they place the woman in handcuffs. The 33-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder spoke about the incident during a press conference and said the officer was following protocol when he hit the woman with his car. “Protocol on the police department is that deadly physical force spurs deadly physical force,” Ryder said, News12 reported. “If somebody has threatened deadly physical force against you or another, you have the right to use deadly physical force, and they chose it through their vehicle and they stopped the individual.”

We previously shared a story that was similar to this when a naked woman was seen shooting at cars on the freeway! CHP officials said they received a call late afternoon regarding an armed and reckless driver heading east on the freeway. Before officers got to the scene they were told the woman first stopped her car and hopped out with a knife then started yelling at cars that were driving by and then jumped back in her car and continued driving, according to officers. As she passed a toll plaza, she again stopped in the middle of traffic and exited her car completely nude.
In the video you can see the woman firing from the shoulder of the freeway with a pistol and casually walking across traffic. She continued firing until she ran out of ammunition. Officers said there were no reports of injuries; they did not provide information on possible damage to any vehicles.
