Kelli Christina states she met the actor online and paid him $40,000 to make an appearance at one of her events for his charity, Make It Right Foundation. The charity is dedicated to building homes for Hurricane Katrina victims and Christina also claims she and the actor developed a romantic relationship plus discussed marriage.

However, his lawyer released a statement saying that Christina became the victim of a catfish and the actor never made contact with her. The motion filed on Wednesday by his legal team reads, “Neither the Make It Right Entities nor Mr. Pitt entered into an agreement with Plaintiff. Rather, as [Christina] herself has acknowledged, it appears [Christina’s] communications about any agreement were apparently with one or more individuals unlawfully posing as – but not in any way affiliated with – defendants online,”

However, Christina says she will continue the legal fight and has documentation to prove her case.

“I have 113 pages of organized discovery to support the charges and allegations. I wouldn’t expect this lawsuit to go away easily. “
