A woman was arrested Tuesday after attempting to enter Mar-a-Lago while claiming she was married to President Donald Trump.

The Arrest

According to WPTV, officers responded to a call about an “unwanted guest” at the Palm Beach estate. Secret Service agents said the woman, identified as Christy Renee Kimbrell, insisted she was Trump’s wife and came to deliver a letter. Officers noted this wasn’t her first attempt to get inside the property.

Kimbrell told authorities she had recently changed her last name to Trump and that she and the president were married. When asked for identification, she continued to present herself as “Christy Trump.”

Previous Attempts

Court and police records reveal Kimbrell had been warned multiple times before. In May, she received a written warning after repeatedly calling Mar-a-Lago security and the Palm Beach Police Department to ask how she could access the estate. On May 18, she told officers she was “Christy Trump” and that Mar-a-Lago was her home. Just two days later, she returned, this time dropped off by an Uber at the Bath and Tennis Club, again insisting she lived there. That incident led to a trespass warning.

Escalating Pattern

Despite previous trespass warnings, Kimbrell’s persistence escalated this week with her latest attempt. Authorities say her repeated actions highlight ongoing security challenges at the former president’s residence. While she has been detained, officials haven’t released further details about her legal charges or potential penalties.
