Woman Blasts Mayor De Blasio For Being Forced To Live With COVID-19 Corpse

A Harlem, New York woman was highly enraged with Mayor Bill De Blasio after her husband passed of coronavirus (COVID-19) earlier this month,  and was forced to live his corpse for hours.

57-year-old Tami Treadwell, owner of Harlem Seafood Soul, slammed De Blasio and city officials after emergency responders left the remains of her husband, Gregory Anthony Treadwell, 62, in their home; forcing her to ice the body while she search for officials to pick him up.

In a video of her grievances, Treadwell yells through tears, “It’s grossly inhumane. I say shame on you Mayor de Blasio… This doesn’t make any sense. If you got to designate somebody to come and get these bodies out of here, these people that died at home. People are dying at home and [inaudible]. How dare you make us have to deal with that, and to live with the body for days? How dare you, Mayor De Blasio? You can’t blame that sh*t on Trump! You can’t blame that sh*t on Cuomo! That’s all you, Mayor De Blasio. This is our city, and we’re being treated like sh*t!”

While it’s noted that morgues and funerals are overwhelmed by demand as the death toll rapidly increases, Treadwell, like many, are still pushing for other means to end the inhumane practices.

Treadwell, stated that she and her family called more than 20 funeral homes, and finally confirmed a pick up with  Englewood, New Jersey company Nesbitt.

Treadwell shares the symptoms her husband had up until the day he passed, stating, “He had a cold for five days. He came home yesterday with a temperature. We talked to the doctor, and the doctor said don’t go to the hospital. Stay home. He has been working this whole time delivering things. He didn’t even want to stay home, because they need him so much at work.”

She continues, “We gave him hot tea, hot everything. I just left him at 7 p.m. I heard his voice. He said he was fine. This is the worst thing that has ever happened.”
