After being kicked off of several big platforms, former President Donald Trump announced that he’ll soon be launching one of his own.
On Wednesday, Trump said he’s gearing up to drop a platform called “TRUTH Social” in order to “stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” accusing them of silencing opposing voices in the US.

In a press release, the Trump Media and Technology Group said it has entered a merger with Digital World Acquisition Corp. to become a publicly listed company. Trump will be its chairman: “I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all,” Trump said in the statement.

As we previously reported, Mr. Trump was banned from Twitter and suspended from Facebook after his supporters stormed the US Capitol. After Twitter and Facebook began deleting some of his posts last year and labeled them as misleading, they ultimately decided to ban or suspend Mr. Trump following the January riots, which followed a speech in which he made baseless claims of electoral fraud.
