Bilal Salaam, a 55-year-old man claiming to be a former “best friend of Will Smith for over 40 years,” has filed a $3 million lawsuit alleging Jada Pinkett Smith, 54, threatened his life for talking about the couple’s business and alleging Will, 57, sleeps with men.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Salaam filed his case in Los Angeles Superior Court on November 7. In the case Salaam, also known as Brother Bilaal, is representing himself, without any legal representation.

In the nine pages of court documents, Salaam mainly accuses Jada of three different counts, but he claims he plans to file another lawsuit against Will as well. As for Jada, Salaam accuses her of “intentionally inflicting emotional distress” and is seeking $3 million damages. He alleges she told him he would “catch a bullet” and “end up missing” if he didn’t stop talking about her personal business.

Salaam alleges Jada, joined by an entourage of seven people, approached him in the lobby of a hotel in Calabasas, California. On September 25, 2021, everyone gathered at the Regency Calabasas Common for private party for Will’s 53rd birthday. The complaint states:

“While in the lobby, Jada Pinkett Smith approached Plaintiff with approximately seven members of her entourage, became verbally aggressive, and threatened Plaintiff by stating that if he continued ‘telling her personal business,’ he would ‘end up missing or catch a bullet,’ and demanded he sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) ‘or else.'”

Immediately following the alleged incident, Salaam recalls fleeing to his car. However, he claims one of the seven people with Jada followed him. During the trailing, the person allegedly continued to issue “verbal threats” at Salaam.

Will Smith’s Former ‘Best Friend Of 40 Years’ Claims Duane Martin Told He’d Have ‘Serious Problems With Jada Pinkett Smith’ If He Refused Task

Salaam claimed he again received threats immediately after the 2022 Oscars. The same event where Will famously slapped Chris Rock for making a joke about his wife Jada’s alopecia battle. He claimed actor Duane Martin reached out to him for help with crisis management. However, Salaam rejected the offer and tasks he “believed were illegal, unethical, or morally compromising.” He added that “his conscience would not allow him to be involved in any cover-up or deceptive PR campaign.”

Subsequently, Martin allegedly told him he would have “serious problems with Jada if he refused to help.” After this, Salaam claims he received more alleged threats, now from three of Will’s associates. He claims the alleged threats got worse once word got out that he was planning to write a memoir about his time with The Smiths.

Bilaal Salaam Accuses Will Smith’s Wife Jada Pinkett Smith Of Intentional Infliction Of Emotional Distress

As far as the “intentional inflection of emotional distress” claim against Jada, Salaam reportedly says it stems from her denying to TMZ that she had ever seen her husband Will engage in sexual or intimate behavior with men. Salaam alleges Jada knew this to be false because he had released a video allegedly showing Will groping actor Alfonso Ribeiro. He alleges Will groped Ribeiro’s “penis, nipple and buttocks” in front of Jada and their children, “who were visibly present.”

Salaam calls Jada’s denial “a deliberate effort to discredit” him and further imply his prior statements about Will were “inaccurate, delusional, or fabricated, causing severe public ridicule and loss of credibility.” He explains that this all destroyed the reputation of his “luxury jewelry brand, Bopulent.” Salaam said previously he received endorsements from Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, Jamie Foxx, Viola Davis, and more.

He also claims that his “whistleblower” memoir was pulled. He claims he had $500,000 advance in the works, but lost it over “fear and emotional collapse.” Salaam also says the coordinated smear campaign, allegedly led by Jada, continued. He alleges she began the attack against him while appearing on a iHeartRadio show.

He says, during the program, she “falsely stated” that he “had attempted a ‘money shakedown,’ further suggesting Plaintiff engaged in criminal extortion.” Salaam also claims that Jada publicly revealed that she and Will were going to sue him, further damaging his reputation. However, they never followed through.

Bilaal Salaam Claims He Suffered PTSD, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Weight Gain, And More Due To Jada Pinkett Smith

Salaam’s complaint claims the business he was telling stemmed from allegations that he walked in on Will having sex with Martin years ago. The docs state that Jada’s comments about an apparent lawsuit, “was false, reckless, and made with malicious intent to manipulate public opinion and damage plaintiff’s character.”

Salaam — who previously made a cameo appearance in Will Smith’s 2000 movie, ‘The Legend of Bagger Vance‘ — has described himself as “a best friend for nearly 40 years.” Additionally, he adds, “This relationship is confirmed by Will Smith’s published memoir, ‘Will,’ which features plaintiff by name and/or photograph, and public testimony by actor D.L. Hughley.”

In his lawsuit, Salaam claims he experienced PTSD, the onset of high-blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes, plus gaining 100 pounds. He also alleges he was “forced into self-exile for nearly two years.” He further claims all of these consequences, have also cost him his long-term romantic relationship and opportunity to see his children.
