White Woman Who Called Black Bakery Employee The N-Word Is Banned With Harassment Complaint Filed With NYPD
The white woman who is going viral for calling a Black bakery employee the n-word is now banned from the business, and from all of the Essex Market in the Lower East Side (where the shop is located), and now has a harassment complaint filed against her with the NYPD.
While the suspect’s name has yet to be revealed, the woman, who’s being referred to as “Bagel Betsy,” among other names, is now banned from the Davidovich Bakery in NYC after she called one its Black employees, identified as Victor Kamara, the n-word. The incident occurred after Kamara asked the woman to put on a mask and she refused. An argument ensued, and the woman ended up calling Kamara a “b*tch a** n****r.” Following the confrontation, the woman left.
NYPD sources say the woman has since been banned from the bakery, and Kamara’s filed a harassment complaint against her. However, law enforcement sources say, typically, the NYPD doesn’t make arrests for these complaints unless an officer is present. If authorities end up locating the woman, currently it’s unclear how the department will proceed and verify the claims, although there were witnesses and video footage taken. But, authorities are still investigating.
