White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, 28, Pregnant With Baby No. 2 With Husband, 60

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, 28, is officially expecting baby number two with her husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, 60… and yes, it’s a girl.

Leavitt dropped the news on Instagram, wrapping it in some holiday joy. Alongside the announcement, she revealed their growing family will be welcoming a daughter in May 2026. The couple is already raising their son, Niko, who’s 17 months and about to get promoted to big brother status.

“The greatest Christmas gift we could ever ask for – a baby girl coming in May 2026.☺️,” Leavitt wrote in her caption. “My husband and I are thrilled to grow our family and can’t wait to watch our son become a big brother. My heart is overflowing with gratitude to God for the blessing of motherhood, which I truly believe is the closest thing to Heaven on Earth. 🥹.”

While some might wonder how pregnancy fits into the pressure cooker of White House politics, the answer is simple: she’s not going anywhere.

A senior White House official told Fox News that Leavitt will remain in her role as press secretary throughout her pregnancy. That milestone puts her on track to become the first pregnant press secretary in U.S. history.

Interestingly enough, the announcement also lands during a complicated chapter for Leavitt’s extended family. Just weeks earlier, her nephew and godson’s mother, Bruna Caroline Ferreira, was detained by ICE and held for deportation in November, a situation that quietly unfolded as Leavitt continued her high-profile work in Washington.

It’s already clear that 2026 is already shaping up to be a big year in her house.
