According to the New York Post, Wendy Williams’ dream Manhattan penthouse has been dumped by her guardian at a $822,000 loss. The Post reports that the deal was closed last Friday (May 10), just a few short years after Williams first acquired the place.

In July 2021, Wendy Williams, 59, purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom penthouse for $4.5 million, but her guardian has now dumped the condo for much less at $3.75 million.

The lavish pad boasts more than 2,4000 square feet with tons of luxurious amenities like a fitness center and a Water Club featuring a 60-foot lap pool, a sauna, a steam room, and a Jacuzzi. Inside the penthouse itself, the main level has a spacious living and dining room area, an open kitchen with custom stained walnut cabinets, granite countertops, Sub-Zero appliances, and much more.

Meanwhile, a source close to Wendy Williams told The Post, “Wendy’s dream has always been to live in Manhattan in a dream apartment but never got a chance to do so. It is a very unfortunate situation.”

The Post reports that the transaction marks the latest chapter in the media mogul’s ongoing legal and personal challenges after being diagnosed in 2023 with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. The news outlet also shares that in documents obtained, Wendy Williams was deemed “incapacitated,” thus requiring her guardian to jump in and make the decision to sell her dream NYC penthouse.

The Post adds that before the quick sale of her Manhattan condo, Wendy Williams had already divested herself of all personal belongings inside of the home, including her iconic purple chair as seen on the ‘Wendy’ and a fixture that accompanied her ‘Hot Topics’ segment on the show.

During that same time, Wendy Williams was also facing Uncle Sam, who said she owed a hefty amount in taxes. Legal documents revealed that Williams owed more than half a million dollars in unpaid taxes, resulting in a federal tax lien that left her personal assets on the auction block. The documents also showed that her NYC penthouse was affected by this lien.

The Post also reports that there were unconfirmed rumors about Wendy Williams potentially looking at relocating to Los Angeles, but another source told their sister site Page Six that they didn’t fully know if she would officially make the move. The source said, “She was asking how to sell her stuff with ‘The Real Real,’ but I don’t think she’s actually moving to Los Angeles. She seems so unwell.”
