While Wendy Williams is looking to make some big career moves as she transitions from talk show host to podcaster, the 57-year-old has expressed that she “can’t wait” to fall in love again. It hasn’t been an easy couple of years for Wendy, who finalized her divorce from ex-husband Kevin Hunter in July 2020 after 22 years of marriage.

Following the split, Wendy told fans that she had slowly but surely begun dating again, but judging by her recent comments to Hollywood Life, it would seem as if she has yet to find someone special to settle down with. “I can’t wait to fall in love,” she revealed. “However, there’s no money in getting married, so I will never get married again.”

The New Yorker quipped that in order to fall in love, “I’ll probably have to go through 40 or 50 men before I find the right one,” and that whoever she does end up falling for would have to make more money than her. “He’s got to make more money than me… I know what I want.”

Prior to her two-decade-long marriage to Kevin, who was also an executive producer of her now-defunct talk show, Wendy’s first husband was Bert Girigorie, whom she married in 1994 before pulling the plug the following year. By 1997, she was in a committed relationship with Kevin and the pair went ahead and tied the knot, but towards the end of their coupling, multiple reports claimed that Wendy’s husband had been living a double life with his alleged mistress Sharina Hudson.

She wound up giving birth to Kevin’s child in March 2019, according to Page Six, which seemingly sealed the deal on where Wendy’s marriage stood at the time. It was inevitable that whatever love she still had for her then-husband had now been crushed by the bombshell news that Sharina was starting a family with Kevin, who was simultaneously living two lives with two women.

One source told the publication at the time, “Sharina gave birth to the baby at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philly. Apparently, they chose this location because they were worried that if she gave birth in New York, it would be leaked to the press.”

“Everyone who loves Wendy is heartbroken and furious. Her fans are furious that she lied to them about her health and about what she has been going through.”

Following the cancelation of her talk show, which wrapped up its final taping last month, Wendy has announced that she is turning her attention to podcasting, with TMZ reporting that she’s already in talks with the likes of the Kardashians, a member of the Trump family, and rapper Snoop Dogg for potential guest interviews.

A premiere date has yet to be set for the forthcoming project.
