Wendy Williams’ Assisted Living Facility Files Police Report Accusing Niece Alex Finnie Of ‘Kidnapping’ Her For Dinner, Wendy Calls It ‘Unbelievable’

#Socialites, get a lot of this! Amid Wendy Williams’ bid to end her guardianship, officials at her assisted living facility filed a police report accusing her niece Alex Finnie, of “kidnapping” her after taking her auntie to dinner!

According to TMZ, sources told them that Wendy Williams and her niece, Alex Finnie, found themselves in hot water after Finnie decided to take her aunt out for dinner on Wednesday night (March 12). Sources said that Finnie accompanied Williams from the hospital — where she has been staying for her psychological evaluation — to the Coterie — the assisted living facility where Williams has been living for the past 8 months.

After spending some quality time together at the Coterie, Finnie offered to take her famous aunt to an Italian restaurant for dinner. According to sources close to Wendy Williams and her guardian, Sabrina Morrisey, officials at the Coterie called the NYPD. The assisted living facility proceeded to file a police report claiming Wendy Williams’ niece kidnapped her by evading staff and taking her out of the building for dinner.

Wendy Williams Calls Out Guardian After Assisted Living Facility Calls Police Over Dinner With Niece

According to TMZ, Wendy Williams is NOT allowed to leave the 5th-floor memory unit without an attendant pushing the elevator button. However, the outlet says she and her niece DID have an attendant accompany them down to the lobby. The attendant even opened the door of the women’s Uber ride, allowing them to get in.

Furthermore, TMZ reports that they received a letter Tuesday evening (March 11) from the lawyer representing William’s guardian, Sabrina Morrisey. The letter allegedly says Williams is able to freely come and go from the facility as she pleases. It also allegedly says there are NO restrictions placed on family visits, despite tonight’s drama.

And speaking on the police report drama, Wendy Williams tells TMZ it’s all “unbelievable.” Williams and Finnie find the Coterie’s actions weird seeing as she doesn’t have any restrictions on her movements nor family visitors. Williams says her guardian is lying and tonight’s events show as further proof of her poor treatment. Wendy says:

“Clearly, they are lying to me when they say I can go out and do what I want to do. My niece, Alex, just flew in from Miami. I just came from the hospital. So, we are going out to celebrate. Celebrate what? I don’t know—I just got out the hospital and I have life. And this is what has been done to us. But, we are good.”
