Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams is not a happy camper right now as her wedding plans have been paused.
According to reports from TMZ, her fiancé, Christian Gold, had to exchange his wedding band for handcuffs, as he was taken into custody just one week before they were supposed to tie the knot! So, what exactly did he do to end up behind bars? Christian was apprehended at the DeKalb County courthouse in Georgia for a probation violation. Consequently, the judge sentenced him to 15 days in jail.
In a show of unwavering support, Jennifer stood by Christian during his court appearance, where the judge granted him a little mercy. He’s allowed to serve only two days in jail for the time being. Following this brief stint, he will be temporarily released, enabling him to walk down the aisle as planned. Their wedding is scheduled for September 14 in Paris, and it appears he will be out in time for their big celebration.
As for Jennifer’s feelings on the matter, it’s currently unclear, as she has not made any public statements regarding the situation.

What Was He On Probation For?
Christian’s probation stems from a false imprisonment charge. He served 30 months in prison before being released in early 2018, at which point he was placed on probation. Recently, authorities reported that he traveled outside the United States without obtaining permission from his probation officer. This breach of probation became evident through social media posts showcasing him and Jennifer enjoying their time in Italy and Switzerland in July, which likely led to him getting busted.
Adding to the complications, Christian had also failed to pay $12,500 in restitution to his victim. However, during his court appearance on Friday, he reportedly settled this outstanding amount.
Whew! What a whirlwind of events!
