What was supposed to be a normal delivery day for an Amazon driver turned out to be a wild situation. Surveillance footage from inside an Amazon van captured the shocking moment a woman gets behind the vehicle and makes a run for it.

The woman identified as Elizabeth Celeste-Tristen Frasier can be seen hopping in the driver’s seat of the truck while the delivery driver was away. Without hesitation, she floors it and makes her way down the block. Clearly, she was having the time of her life as she is seen smiling on the surveillance camera.

Now, her joy ride didn’t last that long as the steering wheel began to jerk from side to side, causing her to fall out of the open door. She gets out before the van crashes shortly after. Moments before the video ends, Frazier is seen walking away like nothing ever happened.

Days after the video was posted, Grand Rapids Police were able to identify the woman in the case. The woman was quickly charged over the incident that went down earlier this month. The charges are punishable by 5 years in prison, plus 90 days and/or $100.

In a statement, Amazon said to 13 ON YOUR SIDE, “We’re glad the driver is okay after this terrifying incident and we’re working with the Grand Rapids Police Department as they investigate.”

What Are The Pros And Cons Of Being An Amazon Driver?

Becoming an Amazon driver has become an increasingly popular career choice for many individuals seeking flexible work opportunities. While it offers several advantages, it also comes with its fair share of challenges.

One of the biggest advantages of being an Amazon driver is the flexibility it offers. As an independent contractor, you have the freedom to choose your work hours and days, allowing for a better work-life balance. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for those who require flexible schedules due to personal commitments or other job responsibilities.

Though, the job of an Amazon driver can be physically demanding. Long hours spent driving, loading and unloading packages, and navigating through traffic can take a toll on the body.

Being an Amazon driver, like any job, also has its own set of risks and challenges. However, Amazon takes several measures to prioritize safety for its drivers. They provide training programs, safety guidelines, and equipment to ensure that their drivers can perform their duties in a secure manner. Additionally, Amazon has implemented technology and systems to monitor and manage driver safety, such as GPS tracking and route optimization tools. While there may be occasional hazards on the road, being a cautious and responsible driver can greatly minimize any potential risks.
