WATCH: Simone Biles’ Brother Tevin ATTACKED In Court By Mother Of Murder Victim After He Gets Acquitted Of Triple Homicide

Chaos erupted in a courtroom on Tuesday as Tevin Biles-Thomas — the suspect in a Cleveland triple murder was acquitted.

As it was previously reported Tevin, who is also the brother of Olympic star Simone Biles was accused of shooting dead Delvante Johnson, 19; Toshaun Banks, 21; and Devaughn Gibson, 23; at a New Year’s Eve party in 2018. Fox8 reports that the 26-year-old faced multiple counts of murder, voluntary manslaughter, and felonious assault. However, Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court officials said Judge Joan Synenberg granted a motion for acquittal by the defense due to lack of evidence. Synenberg granted a motion Tuesday by Biles-Thomas’ attorneys to dismiss the case, noting in her ruling that a witness’ description of clothing worn by the shooter was “75 percent accurate at best,” according to courtroom video published by WEWS.

A video released by the county shows a woman from the gallery run towards the suspect. She was restrained by three deputies but continued to scream, “He killed my baby! You know he killed my baby!” as she was taken out of the courtroom. The woman was later identified as Delvante Johnson’s mother by Joseph Patituce, one of Biles-Thomas’ defense attorneys, according to NBC News.

The Olympic gold-medalist gymnast Simone Biles previously released a statement following the 2018 arrest, saying her heart went out to the victim’s families, and she was struggling to process the news.

“There is nothing that I can say that will heal anyone’s pain,’ she wrote at the time, ‘but I do want to express my sincere condolences to everyone affected by this terrible tragedy.”
