Socialites, get a load of this: Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo has unveiled the secret weapon in Donald Trump’s 2024 election campaign: sneakers. Yes, you heard that right—sneakers.

During a recent segment on The Big Weekend Show, Arroyo boldly claimed that Black voters would flock to Trump in the next election all thanks to his shiny, gold high-top sneakers dubbed the “Never Surrender High-Tops.” Complete with an American flag detail on the back, these limited-edition kicks have caused quite a stir after Trump recently promoted them at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia.

Arroyo’s reasoning? Apparently, Black America’s love for sneakers knows no bounds. “This is connecting with Black America because they love sneakers,” Arroyo confidently stated. According to him, Trump’s foray into the sneaker game is a game-changer, especially in the inner city. “He’s reaching them on a level that defies and is above politics. The culture always trumps politics,” Arroyo declared, pun intended.

When asked if sneaker enthusiasts would vote for Trump, Arroyo didn’t skip a beat. “Anybody willing to put 400 bucks down for a pair of sneakers? Yeah, I think that’s commitment and love. It’s something… it’s affection,” he quipped. Well, who knew that the key to a voter’s heart was through their feet?

In the midst of Trump’s legal battles and mounting financial woes, the launch of the gold sneakers couldn’t have come at an interesting time. It comes just a day after he was hit with a hefty $355 million penalty for financial misconduct

So, will Trump’s sneaker strategy be enough to secure him the presidency once again? Only time will tell. But one thing’s for sure—when it comes to politics, it seems like Trump is ready to put his best foot forward, one high-top at a time.
