Washington D.C. & Capitol Police Reportedly Already Feeling Burnt Out Ahead Of Inauguration Day

Washington D.C and Capitol Police officers are reportedly already feeling exhausted and burnt out ahead of next Wednesday’s inauguration day duties.

Officers who are tasked with protecting the nation’s capital following the treasonous attack on the US Capitol building on January 6; which left officers and insurgents dead or wounded. Since the attack, sources say Metropolitan P.D.. and Capitol Police officers have been working a minimum of 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week, and a clear end has yet to be announced.

The source adds that a number of cops are feeling burnt out from all of the overtime and are now fearful that they won’t be in good form once Inauguration Day arrives, which is when they’ll need be in tip-top shape the most.

Additionally, members of the D.C. PD have also been tasked with protecting other buildings around the metro area, and those officers share the same sentiments as those protecting the Capitol, as they’re working 12-14-hour days with little no breaks.
