Donya Prioleau has filed a lawsuit against Walmart following the recent shooting which occurred at one of its stores in Chesapeake, Virginia. As previously reported, six people were killed on November 22 when the suspect, Walmart supervisor Andre Bing, opened fire on his colleagues before turning the gun on himself and taking his own life.
Donya, a fellow co-worker who was in the break room at the Walmart store when the shooting took place, is now taking legal action against the firm, stressing in her $50 million lawsuit that multiple staff members, including herself, had complained about Andre’s “bizarre” behavior long before the tragic incident took place.

In court documents obtained by NBC News, Donya asserted that Walmart was alerted of Andre’s odd conduct on several occasions, noting that a handful of reports had been filed against him — including a formal complaint that Donya wrote herself on September 10. She had accused Andre of harassing her at work “for being poor” and “short,” as well as having to put up with rude comments from him pertaining to her age.
“‘Isn’t your lady clock ticking? Shouldn’t you be having kids?’” she quoted Andre telling her during one of their many heated run-ins. What’s more, on the day of the shooting Donya’s mother had tried to intervene by speaking to Walmart officials and asking them whether anything could be done about Andre’s behavior but she was turned away and told that the suspect was actually very well-liked by management.
Walmart has since reacted to the lawsuit, saying that it would review the claims made by Donya and plan to respond “as appropriate with the court.”
Following the brutal massacre, police discovered a “death note” Andre is believed to have left behind, which mentioned his distaste for his co-workers, who he claimed had compared him to serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. “They laughed at me and said that I was like Jeffrey Dahmer … Sorry everyone but I did not plan this I promise things just fell in place like I was led by the Satan,” he wrote.

Fully aware of the actions he would take soon after penning the letter, Andre added, “My true intent was never to murder anyone, believe it or not, I was actually one of the most loving people in the world if you would get to know me.
“My only wish would have been to start over from scratch and that my parents would have paid closer attention to my social deficit.”
