VP Mike Pence To Publicly Receive COVID-19 Vaccine On Friday — Biden Next Week

According to CBS, Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen Pence will be vaccinated publicly on Friday. The Vice President’s office confirmed the news about Pence, who will be the most high-profile person yet to publicly receive the coronavirus vaccine.

Although President Trump, who had COVID-19 in October, has not committed to taking the vaccine on television just yet, Trump has said he looks forward to taking the vaccine at the appropriate time.

Meanwhile, it was also reported that President-elect Joe Biden is expected to get his first Covid-19 vaccination early next week, and plans to get his shot in public, CNN reports. “I don’t want to get ahead of the line, but I want to make sure we demonstrate to the American people that it is safe to take,” Biden told reporters Wednesday in Wilmington, Delaware. “When I do it, I’ll do it publicly, so you can all witness my getting it done,” the President-elect said.

As we previously reported earlier this month, Former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton have all volunteered to get their Covid-19 vaccines on camera to promote public confidence in the vaccine’s safety. While Trump didn’t make that same promise, he tweeted this morning:

“All-time Stock Market high. The Vaccine and the Vaccine rollout are getting the best of reviews. Moving along really well. Get those “shots” everyone! Also, stimulus talks looking very good.”
