Vice President Kamala Harris’ communication direction has resigned after there have been reported tensions between Harris’ admin and aides in the White House.

Ashley Etienne has reportedly stepped down from her role after CNN exposed tensions among the administration in Harris’ office and multiple staffers claimed they wanted a way out completely. ‘Ashley is a valued member of the vice president’s team, who has worked tirelessly to advance the goals of this administration. She is leaving the office in December to pursue other opportunities,” a White House official said in a statement.
A source told the outlet about Etienne’s performance during her time as communications director and claimed she was ‘not a good fit’ due to failing to plan Harris’ communication strategy during her first year in office. Etienne also worked as a communication director for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Obama administration.

Additionally, Vice President Harris reportedly feels constrained in what she is able to do and has other ambitions in the near future which is causing concerns for the Biden administration.
“They’re consistently sending her out there on losing issues in the wrong situations for her skill set”, one of her former aides said to CNN.
