Whew! Vice President Kamala Harris is not letting anyone play with President Joe Biden! During a few post presidential debate interviews the Vice President made it clear that Biden had a “strong finish” despite starting off a bit rocky.

While speaking with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, Harris responded to some of the online criticism by stating that Biden made a clear contrast with Trump on the issues that matter to the American people.

Cooper began mentioning the disappointment expressed by some Democratic lawmakers and supporters regarding Biden’s performance and their concerns that he did not effectively counter Trump’s lies. In response, Harris emphasized that the election and the presidency should be about substance and that the contrast between Biden and Trump is clear. “Yes, it was a slow start, but it was a strong finish, and what became very clear through the course of the night is that Joe Biden is fighting on behalf of the American people. On substance, on policy, on performance, Joe Biden is extraordinarily strong,” she said, before Cooper interjected.

“The president’s performance tonight was clearly disappointing for his supporters,” Cooper said while pointing out that one Democratic lawmaker felt like it was ‘disaster’ while another called it a “train wreck.’” Cooper then brought up the 2020 primary debates between Harris and Biden, saying, “[Biden] was a very different person on the stage four years ago when you debated him. That’s certainly true, is it not?”

Harris, clearly agitated, went on to say, “I get the point you’re trying to make about a one-and-a-half hour debate tonight. I’m talking about three and a half years of work that has been historic.”

“I’m not going to spend all night with you talking about the last 90 minutes when I‘ve been watching the last three and a half years of performance. I’m not going to debate that point,” she insisted. “I’m talking about the choice in November.” Whew!
