The incident occurred Wednesday evening as told by a former Kremlin spy who allegedly revealed the news in an anti-Putin Telegram channel. According to Radar Online, the channel claims the 70-year-old Russian president is allegedly receiving cancer treatment as the condition is affecting his stomach and bowels.  “Three bodyguards helped the president get to the nearest couch and summoned medics, who are on duty at the residence,” General SVR stated about the rumored incident.

“Nothing critical was diagnosed, the president’s condition closer to nighttime was stable, he can get around on his own, with pain in the coccyx area while sitting being the only thing that bothers him,” the post continued. An investigation was launched to see what led to Putin’s fall since the leader reportedly wears slip-proof shoes in his home.

The incident stems from several reports about Putin’s alleged battle with cancer. Recently, he was seen twitching during a meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He was also spotted with apparent IV marks on the back of his hand which led to the rumors about his health issues.

A leaked email from a Russian intelligence source claimed Putin was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and pancreatic cancer. However, sources  close to the President said the rumors were untrue as they stated he is primarily focused on the continuous conflict against Ukraine. His relatives are reportedly worried about his health as he was allegedly dealing with coughing, nausea, and lack of appetite but sources close to the Kremlin have denied these claims as well.

General SVR claimed Putin’s health is allegedly declining as it is affecting his decision making and his condition worsened since the start of the Ukraine war. He reportedly plans to step down as president due to his illness and failed political endeavors.

“Putin’s oncology is progressing and, despite adequate treatment lately, the pain is not always completely relieved. It must be understood that the deplorable state of the president’s physical and mental health affects the adoption of key decisions. Putin doesn’t want to change history, he wants to end it.”

Russian political experts claim Putin will most likely step down before 2024 and might announce his departure before the New Year but it will depend on his current health condition.

“It is even possible he will announce his departure before the New Year, but this depends on his state of his health,” said analyst Valery Solovey.
