#Socialites, come get into this: A West Virginia librarian is behind bars after authorities claim she took political anger way past Twitter fingers and straight into alleged assassination talk involving the President of the United States.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, 39-year-old Morgan L. Morrow of Ripley, West Virginia, was arrested after investigators say she tried to recruit people on social media to assassinate President Donald J. Trump.

The arrest came after a “full investigation” by the Jackson County Bureau of Investigations alongside sheriff’s deputies, who were tipped off. According to WOWK, citing a criminal complaint, law enforcement became aware of language “directed toward an unknown individual, which was believed to be a public official.” Once authorities traced the post back to a TikTok account allegedly belonging to Morrow, things escalated fast. So what exactly did her alleged posts read?

The post reportedly read:

“Surely a sn!per [sniper] with a terminal illness can’t be a big ask out of 343 million.”

Apparently, investigators didn’t have to read between the lines. According to WOWK, they believed the message was encouraging and advocating the assassination of President Donald Trump.

During an interview with investigators, Morrow allegedly admitted she created the post and said it was “intended as a threat directed toward President Donald J. Trump,” according to the feds.

She reportedly added that she had “personal reasons for wishing harm upon the president.” What those reasons were? Still unclear. Authorities didn’t spell them out in the documents.

Sheriff Ross Mellinger made it clear that free speech has limits—and this sprinted past them.

“It’s okay to be critical of the government. It’s okay to be critical of things you don’t agree with, but when you start promoting violence, promoting a plan to carry out that violence, and recruiting other people to carry out the plan for you, that’s clearly crossing the line.”

“When you saddle up on the horse of stupidity, you have to be prepared for the ride that follows.”

What Happened To Morrow?

Morrow was arrested and taken to South Central Regional Jail, where she remains as investigators continue gathering information.

Meanwhile, the Jackson County Public Library moved quickly to distance itself from the situation, releasing a statement on social media:

“The comments recently made by an employee do not reflect the mission, values, or standards of conduct of our organization.
