The four-year-old Rottweiler was seized and euthanized by animal control officers. A neighbor said the dog was known to be dangerous around the community.

A day after the attack, Kachmar was given a summons for the vicious attack. Friends of the family also launched a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses and raised over $30,000.

“It is with a heavy heart that Mike and I reach out on behalf of Brooks and Alicia Floyd. Yesterday, (January 29th) they tragically lost their sweet, 7-year-old daughter Olivia Grace,”

Olivia Grace’s obituary said she was a “2nd grader at Wilson Elementary. She loved cheerleading, gymnastics, dance, unicorns, and animals. She attended Linville Creek Church of the Brethren on Broadway.”

“Olivia was a spunky, sweet and caring little girl who got along with everyone and loved life.”

A similar incident happened to a woman who had to be re-sedated due to her injuries.

A South Carolina mom was re-sedated after discovering she had no arms or colon after sustaining injuries from a deadly mauling in March. The three dogs attacked Kyleen Waltman,38, while she was walking near their home and approached by them. Her sister said doctors were unable to give her prosthetics due to sepsis infections.

“She was walking home from her boyfriend’s house to her momma’s, and as far as I know, the dogs just jumped on her and you can actually see in the road if you go down there, where she fought the dog, trying to fight them off. They pretty much ripped all the meat from her arms, and she has a hole in the back of her head. She has lost her colon.”  said her best friend, Tanya Gilmer.
