Vince Herbert, the ex-husband of Tamar Braxton has been accused of fraud by a famed Los Angeles jeweler.

According to an exclusive report by Radar Online, the company Greene & Co International and Michael Greene have demanded the court award a default judgment in the amount of $81,356.60 as they claim Mr. Herbert has allegedly been refusing to settle his bill.

Greene, who accused Herbert of fraud, deceit, and breach of contract, said Herbert contacted the company in December 2018 and asked for 7 custom pieces to be created. They noted that throughout the process Herbert boasted about his net worth and his ability to “pay for the jewelry, his career, and his involvement in the music industry,” the outlet notes.

Believing all the hype and his reputation, Greene & Co. extend him a line of credit and allow him to leave the store with the pieces without payment. The jeweler reportedly claimed that Herbert first wrote one check worth $20k but it ended up bouncing. The suit read,

“Immediately, via text messages with the [Herbert], [Greene & Co.] informed the [Herbert] that the check was returned for insufficient funds and inquired when the $20,000.00 and the remaining balance of the invoice would be paid in full,” Radar Online quotes.

After repeated promises of paying up, they claim Herbert never came through.

The jeweler said Herbert had failed to respond to the lawsuit, which was officially filed in March 2021, despite being served. The suit initially demanded $66k in damages but the company now wants $81k in total.

So far, a judge has yet to rule on the matter as the court hearing has been set for May.

More On Tamar Braxton And Vince Herbert

Herbert married singer Tamar Braxton, back in 2008. The former couple welcomed a son together named Logan Vincent Herbert in 2013.

Following a rocky relationship, Braxton filed for divorce from Herbert in October 2017, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Since then, the two have reportedly developed a healthy co-parenting relationship. She told ET in 2020, “We realized it’s not about us. It’s not about our feelings. It’s not about what happened. It’s about Logan.”

Braxton has since moved on to a new man. As we previously reported, the superstar is now engaged to Jeremy “JR” Robinson who she met on her new show Queens Court – which aptly saw her looking for love alongside Nivea and Evelyn Lozada.

“I thought that I just needed love. I didn’t,” the Celebrity Big Brother season 2 winner explained. “I needed a friend. And you’ve been that for me,” she said on the show. Robinson added, “I’m not only willing, I’m ready,” he said. “So much so that I don’t want to be your friend. I don’t want to be your friend. I want to be your husband.”

Braxton and Robinson, who has five kids with four different women, are still going strong… six months later, after filming the show. A source shared that the two are currently planning their wedding.
