According to the Daily Mail, the video clip shows Patricia walking alongside Alejandro near a canal at the KendelMiami, Florida and she caresses him moments before she pushes him into the water. Witnesses say they rescued Alejandro the first time after seeing him struggling in the water.

After his rescue, Patricia took her non-verbal son to another canal at the Miccosukee Golf and Country Club then pushed him again, leading to his tragic death. Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said in a statement that Ripley had the intention to kill her son from the beginning:

‘Unfortunately when she took him to the second canal, and there was no one there. She tried it once, and people rescued him. He was alive. He could have stayed alive. She intended, from all the facts of the case, to kill him.’

Fernandez Rundle added since Alejandro couldn’t speak, he was unable to tell his rescuers about his mother’s actions.

Patricia’s husband, Aldo, says he doesn’t agree with the statements against his wife and that they loved their life.

‘I don’t agree with whatever they’ve said about my wife. The only thing I’ll say is that we love our life.’

An autopsy is currently being conducted on Alejandro to see if he sustained any injuries or had any drugs in his system prior to his death.

The video was originally uploaded by Univision in an exclusive report.
