Victor Solomon takes team John Legend to the top 5 with his melodic voice that is rooted in the church from a young age.
Heading into the top 5 and the final episode of ‘The Voice’ we spoke with Victor Solomon the 22-year-old Illinois native who brought his mature voice to the show to reach a wider audience.
When speaking with Victor we spoke about his upbringing in the church that inspired a lot of how he sings today. Growing up singing in the church choir, he looks up to artists like Tye Tribbet, J Moss, and so many more.
While there are so many gospel competition shows he could have joined, Victor explained that being on The Voice he was able to reach a wider audience.
When joining season 20, Victor sang ‘Glory’ by John Legend in hopes of receiving a chair turn and it happened. When he finished his song, john actually admitted to never turning for anyone who sang any of his songs until now. Before even deciding who he wanted to coach him this season, he had the opportunity to actually sing a duet ‘Ordinary People’ with Legend and absolutely killed it.
