Vice President Mike Pence In Self-Isolation After Press Secretary Tests Positive For COVID-19

Vice President Mike Pence will be in self-isolation after it was revealed his press secretary has tested positive for the coronavirus.

Bloomberg reports Pence will be self-isolating following his press secretary Katie Miller’s diagnosis on Friday. The vice president was notably missing from a scheduled meeting on Saturday with Donald Trump and military officials. Three sources close to Pence said he tested negative for the virus on Sunday but he is being cautious by staying home.

Miller and Pence had a meeting on Thursday, a day before her diagnosis was announced. She is also the spokeswoman for the White House coronavirus task force.

Three top health officials of the coronavirus task force said they will be taking self-isolation measures due to the recent diagnosis of several White House employees. The officials of the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said they will be in self-quarantine. Dr. Anthony Fauci said he will be practicing a different way of quarantine.
