As previously reported, Sophia Laine filed a lawsuit against her daughter after she claimed Vanessa kicked her out after Kobe’s tragic death. The lawsuit states that the home she was kicked out of was purchased by her son-in-law and that she was owed $200,000 since she worked as a nanny for the couple for 20 years.  Vanessa fired back at her mother’s claims and said “In reality, she only occasionally babysat my older girls when they were toddlers. As of ten years ago, our kids were full-time students and athletes and I didn’t have another child until 2016.”

She also called the lawsuit disgraceful and states that Kobe “never promised my mother anything, and he would be so disappointed in her behavior and lack of empathy.”
