Vacation Friends was a hilarious hit when it came out and it really had us thinking twice about some of the people we meet on our getaways, but, if you thought a vacation couldn’t get wilder, you are terribly wrong. Now, don’t fret if you haven’t taken a hot summer getaway yet because Vacation Friends 2 is about to take you on a trip you will never forget.
Now that Marcus (Lil Rel Howery) and his wife, Emily (Yvonne Orji) are besties with their strange, vulgar but loving vacation buddies, Ron (John Cena) and Kyla (Meredith Hagner), they decide to embark on another tropical adventure with them, but this time around there’s a baby (also named Marcus, if you know, you know), a dad home from jail and a mysterious white bag of dust that turns out to be someone’s mother! It is everything we love from the first film and so much more.
While the first time and round, Marcus and Emily really weren’t feeling their new buddies, they soon learned that they were good people at heart, but this time they have a baby in the mix, who spends most of his time with a special character from the first film, but we don’t want to spoil that, it’s a whole adventure in itself, and frankly has some of us parents getting ideas.
While a trip to the Caribbean sounds relaxing, for Marcus, he is mixing business with pleasure, and the stress of trying to close a construction deal for his company with a Korean hotel conglomerate gets the best of him, and it doesn’t help that flying bullets and being trapped in a storage container underwater could hinder his meeting. Everything that could go wrong pretty much does and in the entire film, you will be wondering what’s next.
The film is made to make you have fun and get over the end-of-summer vacation blues with one last shot, a few crying babies, and the fiasco of a vacation. Watch now on Hulu, you won’t be able to contain the laughter.
