An employee from Atlanta’s VA Medical Center was exposed by his colleagues after he posted an Instagram story of himself taking a bath during a meeting.

The male employee uploaded the photo on March 17 during a staff meeting where it shows his laptop perched on a tub ledge with the caption, “My office for the next hour.” According to WSBTV, the photo was submitted to the news station citing concerns that their colleague was making a mockery of the workplace and veterans.

“He was at work, but he was just in his tub. It’s almost as if this employee is making a mockery of all the veterans. I can sit here in my tub and relax, and you just have to wait,” they explained to reporter Justin Gray.

Veteran Kevin Cleary explained to the station that he has waited months for a doctor’s appointment and expressed his feelings after seeing the bathtub photo.

Employees are required to sign a telework contract in order to be granted permission to work from home. A statement in reference to the photo was released by the medical center and it is unclear if the employee signed the contract.
“The Atlanta VA health care system is committed to our core values of integrity, commitment, advocacy, respect, and excellence. We are currently investigating all the circumstances involving this incident. Upon completion of this investigation, we will take the appropriate actions.”
