OMG! #Socialites, get into this wild story! A 16-year-old Utah boy experienced a freak accident during which he lost a testicle. It is reported that the insane incident, that left the teen without a b*ll of his own, happened while he was bending down to grab a golf ball.

Utah Teen Loses His Testicle In Freak Accident After Bending Down To Grab Golf Ball
According to a case study published from the journal Urology Case Reports, a 16-year-old kid from Utah had one of his testicles retract inside of him when he reached down to retrieve a golf ball. After the freak accident, the boy claimed he immediately suffered “acute” pain in his genital region.
After experiencing the accident and pain, he went to get a check-up done on his testicles and learned that his left one had “gone missing.”

Along with suffering from “ongoing mild abdominal pain with persistent nausea,” the teen then checked into a hospital in Salt Lake City. While there, he was administered pain medication and underwent a CT scan, which revealed that his left testicle had traveled up the canal from his scrotum, nearly reaching his abdomen.
Fortunately, doctors realized that the misplaced testicle was still intact, but they told him that he had suffered a condition that is known as “testicular ascent.” It is reported that the condition happened to him at a pre-pubertal stage, and the median age of ascent often happens within mid-childhood.
According to the case study, the teen’s medical history noted that he had previously suffered from a retractile left testis for at least five years. This usually happens when a testicle often “travels back and forth between the scrotum and the groin.”
It was also noted that the teen’s freak accident all happened because of his patent processus vaginalis. In layman’s terms this means that the passageway between the teen’s scrotum and his abdomen did not entirely seal up while he was developing inside of his mother’s womb.
Thankfully the surgeons treating the teen were able to grab his misplaced left testicle and position it back into his scrotum. It is reported that the experts used several surgical instruments to “surgically anchor” the testicle “to the scrotum while using non-absorbable suture.”
According to the case study, the teen was contacted seven months after his surgery and he reported that he did not have any complications from the surgery, and that he had two normal testicles, sitting side-by-side.
