USPS Delays Causing Thousands Complaints, Prescriptions & Ballots Months Late

The United States Postal Service has left many people unhappy and scrambling to figure out where their packages are, weeks and even months after shipment, and with the upcoming election it seems that it’s going to be impossible to mail in ballots and expect them to arrive on time.

The most concerning factor is that many people are going without their medication due to these delays. For example, Lisa Adametz has been waiting for her cholesterol medication since July 29. The Postal Service picked it up from a Veterans Affairs hospital weeks ago, but its been sitting in limbo.

“I don’t know what’s going on, it’s just sitting there,” said Adametz.

On Facebook many others complained that their packages were stuck at ISC Chicago with no delivery date in site.

”Poster came from UK, arrived 06/03 at ISC Chicago & through customs. It arrived today 10 weeks later!? @USPS is overwhelmed, underfunded & partially hogtied cause of the 2006 #PAEA. Not to mention we are in a pandemic!! What if this was a mail in vote not a poster?! #SaveTheUSPS,” wrote one tweeter.

Customers were also outraged after they noticed that USPS employees were posting on the Facebook page of ICS Chicago. Many shared selfies with one employee noting that she was being paid to sit there, look pretty and do nothing!

The delays could get worse after Donald Trump suggested that the USPS be defunded. Many will not be able to cast their vote in the upcoming election.
