UPS Driver Deemed A Hero After Saving 4-Year-Old Trapped Under 97-Pound Package

Marco Angel, a UPS driver in Illinois, has been deemed a hero after saving Max Pratt, a 4-year-old 40-pound boy who became trapped underneath a 97-pound package.

Security footage captured the moment Angel, who’s quite literally an angel, delivered the hefty box to the Pratt family’s front porch in Oak Park and the young boy tried to bring it inside — a duty he often takes on. However, this time he ended up becoming trapped underneath the package when it fell on him. The 4-year-old began to yell for help and that’s when Angel ran to his rescue and lifted the box.

Angel says his quick response were due in part to his parental instincts. He said, “I pictured my boys in his situation. Obviously, you go into, kind of, full parent mode or full dad mode to make sure the kid is all right.” Fortunately, Pratt did not suffer any injuries during the incident and has been relaxing on the very hammock that fell on him.
