UPDATE: Tom Brady To Reportedly Sign With Tampa Bay Buccaneers

While we reported earlier this morning that Tom Brady was leaving the New England Patriots, it’s now being reported that he’s set to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Although Brady, his reps nor the Bucs have confirmed nor negated the claims, Fox Sports 1 host Colin Cowherd revealed the new details on his radio show ‘The Herd‘ Tuesday morning (Mar 17).

Cowherd stated, “I was told 35 minutes ago that Tom Brady signs tomorrow with Tampa Bay. He had made a decision and talked to Tampa Bay yesterday. He was willing to re-sign with New England but he watched Stefon Diggs and DeAndre Hopkins go to other franchises and then called Robert Kraft an hour and a half later and said ‘I’M OUT’… I am told Tampa is the choice and he will sign tomorrow… This is not a ‘football source’, it is a ‘Icon source’, and somebody in Tom’s stratosphere that knows Tom, and who is a famous person. He says Tampa.”

Furthermore, earlier today, the 42-year-old thanked the Patriots Nation in a post on Instagram.

“I wanted to say thank you to all of the incredible fans and Patriots supporters. MA has been my home for twenty years,” Brady wrote. “It has truly been the happiest two decades I could have envisioned in my life and I have nothing but love and gratitude for my time in New England. The support has been overwhelming – I wish every play could experience it. My children were born and raised here and you always embraced this California kid as your own. I love your commitment and loyalty to your teams and winning for our city means more than you will ever know. I can’t thank you enough for the support of our team. The packed training camps and sold out stadiums and mostly the victory parades. I have been so blessed to share them with you all.

He added:

“I tried to represent us always in the best and most honorable way, and I fought hard with my teammates to help bring victory and triumph even in the most dire situations. Although my football journey will take place elsewhere, I appreciate everything that we have achieved and am grateful for our incredible TEAM accomplishments
