Almost a week after he shot a toddler and her mother during an argument with his brother in Times Square, the shooting suspect, has been arrested in Florida.

The U.S. Marshalls apprehended and arrested Farrakhan Muhammad,31, four days after critically injuring a four-year-old girl and her mother during an argument with his brother in Times Square while they were selling CDs. Authorities said they found Muhammad eating french fries in a McDonald’s parking lot in Jacksonville and added that the suspect changed his appearance by cutting off some of his dreadlocks, and he was spotted in North Carolina with his girlfriend buying dog food. She was also arrested but her charges are unknown.
During the investigation, officials reported that they linked Muhammad and his girlfriend to several addresses in Florida.

NYPD officer Alyssa Vogel saved the life of the youngest shooting victim after she was captured on video running towards an EMS vehicle. She says her “motherly instincts” kicked in when she saw the child in distress.
“I didn’t know the circumstances. So as a mom, I think my motherly instincts went to, ‘I need to help her,'”
