UPDATE: Source Close To Polo G Reveals That A Traffic Violation By His Personal Driver Led To His Arrest — Mother Believes He Was Racially Profiled
Socialites get into this! As we previously reported, Polo G was arrested following an incident that happened right after his album release party in Miami, Florida on Friday.
Fox News reporter Andy Slater had some details about his arrest, sharing on Twitter that “Polo G allegedly wrestled a Miami cop to the ground, beat him up, and told the officer he would kill him,” Andy claimed citing a senior law enforcement source. Nothing else was shared at the time. However, a close source to the rap star is now providing more details on what really went down and suggested that
The source explained that as Polo G was leaving his celebration for his new album, “Hall of Fame,” his personal driver, who is white, cut off a police officer — which is a traffic violation. The source said once they were pulled over, things got real bad. Despite having a personal driver and his bodyguards with him, officers still managed to get in contact with Polo G, and that’s when everything went south. The source noted that police had no reason to be in contact with the rapper as he was just a passenger in the vehicle. Polo was later arrested and hit with several charges including battery of a police officer and resisting arrest. His mother Stacia Mac also spoke more about the incident involving Polo and her 16-year-old son who was also taken into custody with him. The source noted that Stacia hasn’t even gotten her a chance to speak with her minor son yet. Although she has confirmed that he has bonded out, not only does his mother think he’s being targeted, but she‘s implied that this is just a clear case of RACIAL PROFILING.
“None of these charges would be possible if the POLICE did not make contact with my son Polo G!!! He was NOT the driver. He was a PASSENGER in a professionally licensed vehicle with security. He was moving smart and correctly. What more could he have done, ”she tweeted.
